SINCE 1985

Cantrex Limited is the only manufacturers of aluminium extrusions in English Speaking Caribbean countries. The company has been in operation since 1985 and started as Alex Industries.
Since 1995, it became a joint venture between Malaika Holdings Inc. of St. Lucia and Hardware Giant of Trinidad and Tobago Bhagwansingh’s Group of companies. Combined they bring more than 140 years of experience and expertise into the company.
Cantrex has been regularly modernizing the plant from 6” inch billet extrusion to 1600 Ton, 7-inch press with PLC control system of using aluminium logs. From mere milled Extrusions it now produces power coating extrusions, wood grain sublimation process from installing machineries from Italian manufacturers. Cantrex uses Decoral® Systems.
The high-quality raw materials are sources are Dubal, virgin aluminium free from any scrap.
Cantrex has a long standing and esteemed customers in the region, who manufacture products in building and construction, Transportation, Modular Furniture, Solar, Electrical, Shutters and Security, Partioning systems and kitchen cabinets in different finishes.

Cantrex Facilities

Cantrex has presently modern 1600ton Extrusion press with PLC Control systems and has more than 5000 Dies for various needs.

Energy Efficient log heater with hot log shear that keeps the uniform temperature during the process

Superior extrusion handling and belt conveyor systems that keeps the materials without any blemishes.

An Ageing oven that is fully equipped to keep the temperature and flow of air to extruded profiles.

Eco friendly powder coating systems with fully integrated powder coating equipment.

Convection curing oven with the evenly circulating heat through out the oven to give proper curing of the extrusion profiles.

Most modern Sublimation process from Italy having Film Wrapping, Air Removal, Curing and cool down process that allows us to different wood pattern to fully transferred to aluminium profiles.

What are the manufacturing facilities you have?

Cantrex manufactures aluminium extrusions from the 1600 ton 7 inch press. The operations are totally controlled by Micro- processor technology and Programmable Logic control systems. Cantrex produces wide variety of aluminium profiles in the Mill Finish, Powder Coated finishes of White, Brown, Black and Anodic Finishes as well in custom made colours of RAL Chart, and wood grain finish through the sublimation process.

Do you Export? Which markets do you exports to?

Cantrex Exports to various Caribbean countries, USA and Central American Countries. Most of the discerning fabricators, hardware stores and storm shutter manufacturers buy from Cantrex for their needs as OEM supplier. Regular markets are Jamaica, Guyana, Suriname, St Lucia, Antigua, Barbados, Dominica, Guatemala, Grenada, Puerto Rico and USA.

Can we have the catalogue of your product range and price list?

The general catalogue will be loaded soon in the website. Depending on the length, finish of the product the prices will vary. Please contact our sales office.

Can Material be supplied in specific cut lengths?

Cantrex supplies to the customer from 1 m to 8 mtrs (3 feet to 26 feet). However, for convenience of shipping the maximum convenient lengths are 19.19 feet for 20 feet container and 19.5 feet for 40 feet container.

Can you supply exact quantity ordered?

Most times Cantrex supplies exact quantity as per the customer requirement. However, the quantity tolerance is + /- 10% of the order for large specific die buying. If you are buying few quantities from the ecommerce site of the stocks we hold the materials will be sent exactly as per your need.

How one goes about new die development?

We can develop a die with in a width of 6.5 inches. Security for the new die cost would be borne by the buyer that is non refundable. The minimum quantity restriction comes into play for specific off take.

What is the minimum quantity required to be supplied in one lot?

For existing dies of aluminium profile it is 500lbs and where as for new custom made dies it is 1000 lbs per order per die.

What is the lead time required to execute an order?

Normally we require 2 weeks for Mill finish, 3 weeks for Powder coated finish, and 4 weeks for Wood grain Finish to produce the order. The lead time to reach will depend on each location as the shipping times are different to different locations.
