Cantrex Limited, a pioneer in the manufacture of Aluminium extrusions in the Eastern Caribbean was earlier known as Aluminium Extrusions products Limited (ALEX) and was established around 1985 as Allied Forming Ltd. in Trinidad.

In 1996, Cantrex became a joint venture between a transnational Business Group having investment in the Caribbean Region known as Mallaika Holdings and Bhagawansingh Group of Trinidad & Tobago. Presently, the company is managed by Amcan Inc., USA.

From its conception, the company has been producing Aluminium profiles by extrusions for supplies to Windows and Door manufacturers and Hardware merchants not only in Trinidad and Tobago but all over the Caribbean especially in Antigua, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Suriname, and St.Vincent. The range of products includes extruded profiles for the following applications:

• Architectural products - Shop Front, Curtain Wall Systems, etc.
• Structural profiles like Channels, Angles, Ladder section, etc.
• Building products - profiles for Various types of Windows and Doors.
